In Audrey’s words
How it all began.
It started on January 27, 2013, when a small group of us went on a winter ride. Tragically, we lost one of our own that day — Jacquey's husband, Paul, whose bike slid on some ice and went down. That ride bonded Jaxx, Jan Oglesby, and me for life.
That summer, the three of us started riding our bikes to work on Fridays and grabbing lunch together. We'd post about it, and one day someone commented, "I wanna ride with the cool bikers!" And just like that, Cool Biker Lunch & Rides was born.
Over the years, the group grew like wildfire. Jaxx eventually moved to the Western Slope, Jan to Florida — and I was left holding the reins. We kept the throttle twisted, and today CBLR is more than 5,400 members strong.
We host rides, bike nights, poker runs, road trips, International Female Ride Day, highest-mileage contests and 1,000-miles-in-one-day challenges — and even our own annual male and female biker calendars.
CBLR isn't just a group — it's a riding family. And it all started with one unforgettable winter ride.
